May has arrived and the program in our bars is not at all to be missed.
In the taprooms in Marvila, Bica and Virtudes, the month will be filled with fresh craft beer, live music, parties and - of course - good company. Just show up and we'll have a party. It doesn't matter if you have two left feet or two right feet, if you like to dance on your hips... Or even if you prefer to sit down. The party at Musa is for everyone.
Musa de Marvila: 9 years of BBB - tantrums, beats and dancing
At Musa de Marvila, we open the month with a classic. Karaoke: Eu Só Quero é Cantar!, with Sapatrux (May 2). A direct legacy of our dearly missed Valsa Valsa. The following day (May 3), there's Golpe do Baú - a fleamarket for the pint and good pint crowd, with music, jola for all tastes and lots of second-hand clothes. So you can come back in tip-top shape on May 9, for Dj Maskarilha's birthday - for example. The Nothing Comes Easy party will feature DJ sets by Grace and the legendary Sam the Kid.
On May 24th, we opened the June season with the São João dos Ansiososimprovised quadrilha, forró, baião and arrasta-pé to warm our hearts before June. Closing the month, the Altamont blows out 20 candles (May 31) with concerts by Zarco, Veenhoand DJ sets by Benjamin and the writing of our favorite music critics, live and direct from our terrace. Everything to enjoy with a full glass against your chest.
Musa das Virtudes: good sound with a dreamy view
In Porto, Musa das Virtudes is anticipating the summer with music for dancing with a chanato and a glass raised. The anniversary of Musa beer (May 17) is celebrated with Claiana and Samba Sem Fronteiras live. Then, on May 24, we'll be dancing to the Fylhas do Dragãoparty queer which transforms the dance floor into a pop, sensual ritual with no rules.
And to close on a high note, on May 31st we have Kebrakua party made by and for immigrant artists, with lots of color, energy, global music and joy.
If you're looking for good music and good beer, stick to Musa in May.
